About Marian Vulpe, MD

Marian Vulpe, MD, is a board-certified cardiologist with more than 20 years of experience. Dr. Vulpe currently serves the communities of Hamden, East Haven, North Haven, West Haven, and Wallingford, Connecticut, at HeartCare Associates of Connecticut.

Before joining HeartCare Associates of Connecticut in 2005, Dr. Vulpe earned his medical doctorate from the Institute of Medicine and Pharmacy in Timisoara, Romania, and completed an internship at Institutul de Medicina și Farmacie-Tirgu-Mures în Târgu Mureș, Romania. He soon moved to the United States and completed a postgraduate fellowship in adult cardiology at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York City.

An accomplished cardiologist, Dr. Vulpe specializes in cardiac imaging. He is board-certified in both nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. Some of Dr. Vulpe’s areas of interest include heart disease, angina, blood clots, acute coronary syndrome, and hypertension.

Dr. Vulpe is proud to call Durham, Connecticut, his home. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his wife, Herra, and their wonderful daughter, Sophie. Dr. Vulpe’s personal interests include soccer and tennis, which he previously played at the professional level.
